However, she wants a relationship that will actually last, but doesn’t think she’ll find one.

personality traits ,
ATTENTION SEEKER- Mack always feels like she needs attention since she never gets any at home. She can’t stand her brother for all of the attention he gets while their parents could care less about her. It’s not that she needs to be the center of attention, (but that’s always nice too) she really just wants to be noticed and it doesn’t matter how. Whether it’s getting trashed at a party, keying a car, interrupting class, or being the cause of a fight, she feels like she still can’t win.
CLEVER- Mack isn’t just some stupid girl, but all her friends think she is. She really is an A and B student but no one’s ever really stopped to pay attention. Overall, Mackenzie does want to go to college and actually do something that is productive but can’t seem to find her way out of the scene she’s in. She’s had plenty of conferences with teachers asking why such a bright mind acts out all the time but even those didn’t matter to mommy and daddy. So she just continues to play stupid, because that’s how everyone knows her anyways. Outside of the classroom, she’s known to talk her way out of things. Like the time she broke into the bank at night to use the ATM, that one isn’t showing up on her record. Good thing the cop that came was a sucker for big brown eyes.
LONER- Mackenzie tends to be a bit of a loner, she only has two real friends, but even they don’t fully get her. They always ask why she’s out hooking up and not trying to settle down. She tends not to let people get close because after a while they all start to use her for what she has and pay less attention to her. The less involved her friends get, the better. And making a boatload of new friends isn’t really on her agenda. She sticks with who and what she knows for the most part. Mackenzie’s just tired of being used for her constant flow of cash that her parents fork over on command.
HURT- Ever since she was little Mackenzie has always been put to the side. At first she really believed her nanny was her mom. Then her nanny left and she was on her own. Mackenzie hardly considers her parents and brother as her family since she was left to raise herself. She became independent and never had to answer to anyone. Mackenzie’s incredibly jealous of the attention and love her brother gets while she’s just there to watch. She hooks up with random guys to fill the void she has in her own life, but once the fifteen minutes of fame is gone, she’s back in the dark. The counselor she used to see told her that the only way to really let go of all her anger and hurt was to let someone in, but she’s terrified to do so. The idea of letting someone in completely is like her parents actually saying they love her and meaning it; it’s near impossible for her to imagine. However, she really does want someone to talk to.
CARING- Despite all of the times she’s been fooled Mackenzie has a big heart. If you say you’re in trouble, she’s the kind of person to do anything to help you out. When her friend had a gambling debt she paid it off. At Christmas she’ll drop hundreds in the Salvation Army buckets. It’s really just in her nature to help out which is why she gets taken advantage of so often by people. You’d think that by living in Miami she would learn not to throw her money around, but she does just the opposite.

in depth history ,
BEFORE- Jack and Camille are not the fairytale romance you tell your children about. They had known each other in high school but had never dated. Jack was the arrogant jock that had a problem with losing and Camille was just another bitchy cheerleader. They were both at the top of the ladder and didn’t like to go below it. They attended the same parties and college but Jack was a player and Camille was dating Jack’s best friend. It wasn’t until one day when Jack decided to have sex with his best friends girlfriend that him and Camille were in it for the long haul. After about a year they got married and immediately had their first child Alexander. Alexander was the child you dreamed about. He never fussed, always slept through the night, and obeyed his parents. It was never their intent to have another child all those years later, nor were they interested in one and both Jack and Camille dreaded the thought. However Camille found it wrong to give up something she created and nine months later Mackenzie was born. Too invested in their work and first child they hired a nanny to take care of their newborn until she turned 7 and was then left Mackenzie to figure things out on her own.
DURING- Jack hardly remembers that he has a little girl but Camille always felt guilty that they never gave her the time of day. So whatever Mackenzie wants, she gets. Camille could hardly care less about anything that her little girl does, the family joke is that Mackenzie takes after her birthday, Independence Day. They don’t realize that they probably damaged their child for life by ignoring her during childhood, and if it was ever brought up they’d most likely just brush it aside. As a kid Mackenzie accompanied them on all of their family trips to random places in the world but her presence was never appreciated. Her brother Alexander found her to be some sort of mysterious stranger they kept around and as they grew older kept his distance from her.
PRESENTLY- Mackenzie tries to stay as distant as possible from her family. She doesn’t ask them for anything and doesn’t want to depend on them. The only thing she gets from them now is boatloads of money, and even that is just delivered to her door. She has a wing in the house all to herself in their expansive mansion with a come and go as you please policy. Jack and Camille see her as a client in their life they can’t get rid of, so they just leave her be. Alexander hardly remembers his sister as she locks herself away from them in her wing of the house and the only time they talk is when they bump into each other on the streets.
Mackenzie can’t stand her family for ostracizing her from their life and knows nothing’s going to change anytime soon.

We'll have it good
We'll have the life we knew we would;;
Poor period ridden Alexandra didn't hear her grumpy ass twin walk inside. She didn't see Koda leave the kitchen and she was so upset she never noticed Ryan walk into the kitchen. Feeling a sharp pain in her knee she looked up at Ryan. "What the fuck. Are you blind?!" she said loudly. She gave him a nasty glare and looked at her knee. The pain was immediately multiplied because sh had her period and the scrape hurt a lot. If it wasn't for that fact that she was in a dress she would have pulled her knew up as high as possible to inspect the wound. Instead of inspecting it however Alex just curled her legs underneath her and rested her head in one of her small hands. There was definitely no place to hide now.
Alex helplessly looked up at Sir Stoner. Her green eyes then directed themselves to Koda who had now seemed less shaken up. Really after the sudden toss he now seemed to be fine. It was clear that she now wanted to completely bite Sir Stoner's' head off but since she was completely hormonal she just wanted to cry. She never meant to trip him and Koda. Honestly. She was just sitting ion the floor. What was wrong with sitting on the kitchen floor after a hard day?! Alex knew how he loved to just hang out in his room but some people like the nice clean kitchen. 'Sorry we all cant go and smoke pot upstairs Ryan. Sorry you don't have a period!!! Sorry i fucking tripped you and your dog!!!' she screamed to herself she kept all the anger in. She would just drink everything away later. She could only imagine how red in the face she was. She could feel her ears burning. And then Alex had the urge to cry because she was so angry. Why couldn't God have given her an understanding brother?
Helpless, vulnerable, and frustrated she looked at her twin. She didn't know what to say. her green eyes looked as if they were made of porcelain and she thought that she was really going to cry. Maybe even bawl her eyes out.
Such beautiful porcelain that was about to break.
As a kid Alexandra was quiet. She didn't cry much and she never wanted any kind of trouble. Even though trouble seemed to find her. She would sleep almost endlessly and had only ever wanted to spend her day on Broadway or in Central Park. Her brother was a different story...Ryan would cry day and night until he got what he wanted. he would glare at people who defied him and always seemed to want something at every moment of the day. Of course he got what he wanted. It was what the Burton parents did. They got their children what they wanted at any hour. Alexandra did not cry for it though. She just hung back and she knew she would get it eventually. Why cause a scene? If she knew anything about her parents it was that they catered to their children's needs and every last whim.
"Ryan...im--im sorry okay. I didn't mean to trip you...damn it was just an accident. Sorry." she said softly her voice shaking. She hated that glare of his. It could scare the living daylights out of someone who wasn't part of the family but it made her angry. Alexandra would only have needed to reach for a dangerous object in the kitchen to wipe that look off of his face. Her petite hands ran through her wavy hair and her green eyes blinked. She looked down at the ground. It almost confused her as to why he was upset. He should have been watching where he was going.
Slowly thinking about what she just said she had no idea what she had just caused. Dear god, Alexandra Marie Burton just apologized. She gave up to her brother... For a day in her life she had never apologized to him for anything. Not even when she almost burned him with a sparkler. Now that was a real accident. However, the plate was not. This too was an accident. But so was apologizing. Her hormones raging Alexandra felt the shiver up her spine and shook. Why the fuck did she just apologize to him?! What the fuck was she thinking. Oh I can tell you what she was thinking.
Ben and Jerry's sounds really good right now. With a LOT of whipped cream.
But then she had to realize there was two very good ways he could react to this sudden apology. A) he could continue to blow up at her. OR B) well who knew?
Alexandra didn‘t exactly to expect him to care. She didn‘t even think he was going to. He wouldn‘t care that she apologized to him. He would think its some act. Some bitchy act she had plan. ‘Of course Sir Stoner. It was really my plan to have my period, die in pain from walking around, and then have you scrape my fucking knee.’ she told herself. It wasn‘t exactly like he would give a fuck anyways. Knowing Ryan, after this blowout he would call all of his friends to tell them what a snob she was. How he hates the fact that they are related and he needs to buy more pot. If that’s how he deal with it fine. He usually did it like that anyways. Except for the time she cut his phone cord. That was pretty funny and it was on purpose so it was even better.
Her green eyes went back to looking at her brother. Unless you counted their endless fights, they were not brother and sister. Not with how they avoided one another like the plague. At this rate---they weren‘t even friends. And they probably never would be. Pretty sad, no? She had thought so.
