Honestly, Kona knew she was pushing herself too far. Her swollen fingers caressed her indigo tinted skin while she examined the damage she had done to herself. Her thumb hooked into her thong and she lowered the string to examine her pussing, fleshy burn. "Shit," she whispered quietly inhaling. She met her gaze in the mirror with a weak and desperate longing in her eyes. Slowly, knowing she would regret this, she turned to look at her back. Her eyes enlarged with shock and she quickly spun her head away from the mirror.
Her back was covered in welts and gashes. Her skin ranged from indigo to blood red, and Kona knew she should have called it quits after her first bad spill. Falling from such heights with such speed was not the greatest idea, but it scored big the judges if she could nail the landing. She was having trouble though. Her take off was too long and so she landed short, causing a collision with the pipe. Maybe if she relaxed, then she could get it down. She had already doubled check the rule and there seemed to be no violation if she did this.
Kona rolled her eyes and grabbed her board pushing everything from her mind. This was just his way of saying thanks for everything. With a deep breath, Kona threw her things out onto the roof and stepped out of her window. Millie was working downstairs and Kona knew tonight was not the night to take chances. Carefully scaling the roof of her house, Kona made it around to the sandy landing pad she used for nights like these. She landed with a decent thud and began her walk to Oliver's.
It took little time for her to find his house. She kicked around the dirt for a rock to toss at his window. She found a small pebble and chucked it at his window. She had no idea if she could go in through the front, and a key part to tricking Millie was leaving her phone at home. Something she always failed to tell Oliver when she went out on those adventures he hated.

He had more or less lied to her to get her there. Honestly, he needed the drugs just as much as she did. Oliver looked over at Clara Mae sitting in her little rocking chair thing on his bed. She was fast asleep. He knew he was shitty for getting high, but he wasn’t going to do it in front of her at least. He had that much of a conscious. He just needed a break. He’d been stressed out since he laid eyes on her. He knew it was a bad way to look at his baby, or the baby that was supposedly his, but it was a lot of stress. Movies and shit never told you that.
He gathered everything he needed from his room. He rolled a couple of fresh joints for him and Kona and tucked them in his pocket with a lighter. He sat next to Clara Mae on the bed and watched her for a few moments. She looked like a doll, except that her chest was moving up and down slowly as she breathed. She really was kind of cute when she wasn’t screaming. He heard something at his window and stood up to look outside. He saw Kona standing there and pushed the window open.
“Stay there, I’ll be out in a minute,”
he told her in a combination of a whisper-call. He closed the window again and looked around to make sure he didn’t need anything else. He threw a pillow at Joey, who shot straight up from where he was sleeping. “Watch Clara Mae,” Oliver told him. “Dude, I’m sleeping,” Joey muttered, turning over and going back to sleep. He knew that if Clara Mae needed something, she wouldn’t hesitate to scream about it, waking Joey up from his sleep even faster than Oliver had managed to. Oliver snuck out the back door and walked over to the side of the house where Kona was waiting. “Come on. Let’s go to the back,” Oliver told her, leading the way. He settled a way from the house, underneath a tree. He sat down under it and patted the ground next to him, offering Kona a place to sit as he pulled the joints out of his pocket. “This will make you feel better,” Oliver assured her.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

She eyed him for a moment before finally taking a place next to him. It had been some time since Kona had been sitting next to someone getting high. She usually tucked her legs in and put her head down while her friends smoked and laughed, but this time she didn't know that Oliver was getting high. She had imagined it was a pill, but Kona had heard stories of hospitals and smokes. Kona took the joint from Oliver and examined it. She figured the hospital was trying some herbal remedies to help with the pain so they wouldn't over medicate Oliver's dad.
In her bag, Kona had her own lighter. She usually had one on her somewhere. Her small fingers flicked open the cap and rolled the metal piece causing a spark. She hesitated not knowing exactly what to do, but Oliver had a lighter so she assumed that she was doing alright. Her eyes seemed unsure and she let the flame go out once before finally lighting her joint. Kona took her first hit, but fully inhaled causing her to choke. Her face contorted in disgust. This stuff was terrible. It smelt awful and tasted so much worse.
Her cheeks were covered with a light blush; she was embarrassed. Kona didn't want to seem like a naive child to Oliver. She refused to admit that what she wanted was to impress him, but she certainly wanted to surprise him. Her eyes looked away from him as she tried to picture Tamson smoking whatever the hell he smoked. It wasn't always the same thing, but he tended to exhale whatever he had drawn in. She took a second try not wanting to be showed up and mimicked her friend, not knowing she was smoking his inventory. She pulled the smoke in and let it roll about in her mouth before tilting her head back and letting it go.
It wasn't long before the drug began to affect her, Kona was small and incredibly sensitive to the affects of any drug. Occasionally, this caused her an allergic reaction, but tonight she felt a little funny. Her eyes glazed over and her lids began to fall before he body slumped down and against Oliver's. She moaned rolling her face against his arm not sure if she liked this feeling, but her moan slowly turned into laughter. She kept breathing in the "medicine" and soon Kona was blowing smoke rings. Everything seemed brighter and Kona was quiet for a long while. "Oliver," she rolled over onto her belly and nibbled on Oliver's thigh. She was laughing to a point she was practically hyperventilating. She pushed herself upward and crawled across his lap. "Are we dead?" She threw head back laughing as she found her footing to stand up. "My brother drowned. That's what they said did it. Blood. He tastes like blood." Kona laughed not knowing she was going through her brother's suicide. "Tam-tam found us. He has sex." Kona fell to the ground finding that to be the funniest thing. "They used to touch me. Butterflies. Mm, mm." Kona rolled her head back into Oliver's lap. "Oliver! Let's go swimming!"

Oliver had grown accustomed to the whole getting high process. He knew he should probably feel bad about lying to Kona, but he kind of thought that this would be good for her. It would help her relax, and she needed to relax. Plus, Oliver was kind of curious as to what Kona would be like when she was high. He wondered if she had ever done it before and she would catch on. He wondered how pissed she would be if she found out what he had done. But all of his questions began to fade as he took a couple drags from his joint and slowly blew the smoke up into the air.
It was quiet for a little bit as the drugs began to saturate their systems. Oliver could feel his cares slowly melting away as he looked up into the sky and glanced over at Kona every once in a while. A smile stretched his lips as he finally felt the full effects of the drug take over. He felt much better now. He laughed as he looked over at Kona. She looked almost like a little kid now that the drugs had gotten into her system. She was so full of wonder and entertained by the world.
Oliver bursted out laughing at her question. “Dead?”
he repeated, laughing harder as the word hit his ears a second time. He pet her hair as she bit him and let out a little moan. He didn’t have the enough discretion to bother hiding the fact that he liked Kona touching him. He didn’t understand exactly what she was saying after that, but he laughed along, confused but entertained because of how entertained she seemed to be by it. His eyes widened at her suggestion. “Swimming? We can’t go swimming!” He laughed and rolled her over on her back, pinning her down. He looked into her eyes and laughed again. “You’re pretty,” he told her. He looked up and rolled off of Kona, standing up and jumping with his arms in the air so his hands caught the branch of the tree. He swung his legs and began swinging back and forth, laughing loudly, throwing his head back as he swung himself back and forth. “Come swing, Kona!”[/blockquote][/blockquote]
